Many people use backboards or walls to practice on their own. Through repetitive practice they slowly shape their tennis skills and improve many aspects of the game such as strokes, returns etc. But while such methods are good for practicing alone it may bother other people around the area due to the repetitive noise. Even at a tennis club, many people practicing on their own on the walls can add up to a significant amount of noise, disturbing other members trying to have a relaxing time.
In order to provide a better solution to this problem the rebound net was invented. As opposed to a typical netting such as a tennis net on the court the rebound nets are amazingly tense, which allows them to return the ball to the players instead of absorbing all the impact and returning the tennis ball on the practice surface. But while they offer such toughness they are also able to absorb most of the sound, providing a quiet alternative from the walls or similar hard structure.
The merit of these rebound nets is the fact that they can be used anywhere, even at home, since they don’t produce any significant noise.
There are many different sizes available to fit both indoor and outdoor needs. You can purchase many units as a club owner and place them around your facility. You can also purchase them as a regular player and place them in the driveway, backyard or basement, the applications are virtually limitless.
